Dr. Al-Rabeeah: It Is a Great Honor for All MOH Employees to Receive King Abdullah's Gracious Words

   His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has affirmed that the directives of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, and his incentivizing word when he said to the MOH employees “You are Muhjahdun (militants)”, which had a positive impact on all the Ministry's officials. And His Excellency has gone on adding that it does us credit, and it is no doubt that his appreciating and treasuring for the MOH's efforts fuels our enthusiasm, and makes us work hard, materialize these extraordinary words about the health sector in general, and pledge Allah the Almighty, then his royal majesty to exert a lot of efforts. 

This was during his Excellency's inspection, on Sunday morning, the building of the new East Jeddah Hospital, which the Ministry started implementing it three years ago, and its buildings finished by more than eighty percent. During his visit, Dr. Al-Rabeeah toured all the departments, and listened to a detailed explanation from the Director of Health Affairs Directorate in Jeddah Dr. Sami bin Mohammed Ba-Dawood and the project's contractor on the structural work flow, and following the timeline of finishing the main and attached buildings. In addition, the Health Minister stressed on the necessity of finishing the buildings on schedule.

However, his Excellency the Minister was accompanied by both his Excellency Deputy-Minister of Planning and Development Dr. Mohammed Khoshaym, and his Excellency the Deputy-Minister of Health Dr. Mansour Al-Hwasy; and a number of officials and high-profile figures in the Ministry; and the Director-General of the Health Affairs Directorate in Makkah Dr. Khaled Zafr, and a number of assistants of Jeddah's Director-General of Health Affairs Directorate and its officials.

This announcement was made by the MOH Official Spokesman, Dr. Khaled Merghlany.

In addition, Dr. Al-Rabeeah paid visit to King Fahad General Hospital in Jeddah, and inaugurated several medical departments in the new medical tower such as Emergency and Intensive care department, Intensive Care of Cardiology department, and X-ray unit. 

The medical tower, whose building and equipping have finished recently, works at two hundred and eighty bed capacity. It contains full department for intensive care and quite a number of external clinics, in addition to internal departments designated to hospitalize the patients, and the supportive medical departments, which present services supporting these departments.

It is noteworthy that the Custodian of the Two Holy, May Allah protect him, gave us the honor of inaugurating and laying the cornerstone for many important health projects in a number of the Kingdom's regions at a total cost RS 12,084,987,421. These projects included inaugurating twenty-nine hospitals and health facilities, three hundred and ninety-one primary health care centers. And he also laid the cornerstone for two medical cities, projects in three medical cities and specialized hospital, seven general hospitals, two medical towers, and seventy-three digital operation rooms, and one hundred and eleven primary health care centers. 
 
For his part, the Director of Jeddah Health Affairs, Dr. Sami Ba-Dawood, expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Health for his great concern and close follow-up of the development of Jeddah's health services. “The new hospitals and health projects recently established in Jeddah are reckoned a great paradigm shift in the level of health services (curative and preventive) provided by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for Jeddah's people of all social segments,” said Dr. Ba-Dawood.

He went on to say, “The medical tower recently annexed to King Fahad Hospital is considered a good omen, after opening the Dental Center in North Jeddah. The tower was supported with the state-of-the-art equipments and technologies, with a view to alleviating pressure on the hospital and its various clinics and facilities.”

Dr. Ba-Dawood promised the people of Jeddah to open more and more new health projects seeking to provide best-quality health services, thus ensuring high-standard healthcare for the citizens based in Jeddah.
