Minister of Health Inaugurates Maghrabi Hospital in Riyadh

   His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, stressed on the importance of improving health services and applying the quality and safety measures in all services provided by hospitals, in an effort to serve patients and gaining their satisfaction.
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah's made his announcement today morning, in the course of His Excellency's inauguration of Maghrabi Hopsital in Riyadh, with a number of officials from the governmental and private sectors attending. They were received by Eng. Mohammed Ahmed Ali Reda, vice-chairman of the Board; and Mr. Moa'tasim Ali Reda: managing director, and the executive management members of the group.
 
It is worth mentioning that the hospital was built at a total area of 25000 km2, and at investment cost of SR 150 million. It is one of the biggest hospitals in the Middle East, and it includes all sub-specialties in the field of ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), and dentistry. It is made up of eight stories above the ground and four stories for car-parking below the ground. It consists of 70 clinics for detection and examination and many residence rooms and luxurious suites, in addition to five operating theatres equipped with the latest medical equipment.
 
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health affirmed that the private sector is a partner in providing the health service, and stressed on of the importance of the medical crew's good treatment with the patient. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah noted that the Ministry is interested in the patient's satisfaction and works on their service through its health facilities spread in all the Kingdom's regions, cities, and villages. It also purchases some kinds of a service from the civil sector, especially emergency and intensive care services.
 
He went on to emphasize that, last year SR 300 million was spent to purchase the service in the private sector, and it is expected that more than RS 500 million will be spent next year. And this reflects the interest in serving patients and providing an integrated, comprehensive health care. Hence, we were pleased to inaugurate this hospital which was designed in line with the quality and safety measures, and Allah willing, all governmental and private hospitals are to adhere to the quality and safety measures and gaining the patients' satisfaction.
