The Deputy of Planning and Development and Hajj Preparation Committee Chief, Dr. Mohammad Bin Hamza Khoshaim, chaired a meeting of Hajj preparation committees yesterday at MOH headquarters. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss preparations for the upcoming Hajj season, and coincides with early preparations undertaken by the Ministry of Health to provide the best possible healthcare services to pilgrims.
The audience was briefed on the ongoing preparations in the areas of preventive, curative and ambulatory services for pilgrims. Preventive medicine reports were presented regarding the availability of health requirement guidelines for pilgrims, which is available at Saudi embassies through local ministries of health in all Islamic countries. In addition, the meeting included a discussion about the progress of ongoing projects in the Holy Places, as well as a review of health facility equipment. Participants also heard about the implementation and follow-up phases of the Hajj healthcare plan as of the current mid-month, with infield supervision scheduled for Dhu Al Qa’dah1432.
