GCC Ministers of Health Conference

​On Behalf of the Minster of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, Executive Affairs Deputy Minster, Dr. Mansour Bin Naser Al Hawasi, heads the participating Saudi delegation in the 70th Conference for GCC Ministers of Health held on February 3rd in Al Doha.
 
Ministry's Spokesman, Dr. Khaled Bin Mohamed AL Mergelani, clarified that GCC Ministers of Health will discuss during the conference non contagious diseases control strategies such as cancer, heart diseases, diabetes, smoking and organ transplants. In addition of presenting the Executive Office achievements, issued resolutions and recommendations and the latest scientific updates to develop health services in GCC countries.
Dr. AL Mergelani added that the conference business table includes a number of significant topics such as national prevention strategies, upgrading provided health services, controlling cancer, diabetes and non contagious diseases; In addition of discussing health awareness, anti smoking and controlling Malaria.

Moreover, the conference will raise the issue of unifying pharmaceutical purchases, uniforms and equipments for hospitals, the Industrial College, Dentistry, laboratories, blood donation services, heart and blood vessels surgeries, interventional radiology and unified purchases tenders' strategies.
Add to medicine central registration, pharmacy services, Executive Office budget, applicant credit fund and the financial situation. In addition of technical debates regarding organ transplant in GCC, where a work paper will be presented by Qatar Under the title "Organ Transplants" as well as a similar work paper presented by Saudi Arabia.
