The White House Participates in People Crowd International Conference

The White House will participate in the International Conference (People Crowed Medicine- Concepts, Perspectives, Opportunities and Aspirations) held by the Ministry of Health in Jeddah during the period between 23 to 25 of October, where the American experience in dealing with people crowds during the U.S president Inauguration Ceremony, about 2 million people attended the ceremony and 1.4 million watched the ceremony from Washington Mall (located between Washington Monument and Washington building) will be viewed.
 
The FIFA also will participate by viewing their experience in organizing 2009 World Cup which took place in Johannesburg in South Africa where about 3.18 million attended. This number is less than the registered record number in 1994 World Cup in U.S where 3.59 million people attended and 18449 volunteers participated. In addition of the Canadian experience in Winter Olympic Games in 2010, where 82 countries participated represented by 2762 athletes, and half million audience has attended. In addition of 10,000 journalists covered such event. Both are considered record numbers in people crowds.       
 
Britain Health Protection Agency will view their preparation for hosting Olympic Games in 2012. This Agency will introduce their scientific work related to Olympic Games health planning, in addition of Special Needs Olympics, which coverage public health, health services quality, general headquarter, communication and evaluation.
 
The Head of the Organizing Committee, Health Minister Deputy for Preventative Medicine, Dr. Zyad Meemish, stated that this Conference will discuss a number of essential topics such as World Health Rules and Regulations impact on religious and political gatherings in order to control diseases and discuss quarantine, vaccinations and public hygiene to prevent world epidemics spread, provide basic health care, and preventative planning strategies. In addition of studies and researchers requirements, MIT systems, people crowd managements, infrastructure and safety requirements. Moreover, the conference will represent comparisons between people crowd international experiences in each of Hajj Seasons, World Cup, Olympic Games and the U.S President, Barrack Obama Inauguration Ceremony.                    
 
Dr. Meemish clarified that the Conference will host more than 500 participants where 30 of them are world experts and represents the Ministry of Health for the U.S and Germany, World Health Organization, U.S Diseases Combating Centre, Arab League, GCC Health Ministers Executive Office, World Traveling assembly, FIFA and Islamic Bank.
 
 In addition of a number of significant scientific participation from Governmental and local Sectors, i.e. Supreme Hajj Committee, Central Hajj Committee, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Hajj, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture and information, Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, General Authority of Civil Aviation, King Fahd Centre of Hajj Researches and Saudi Universities.
       
He also added that the Conference will host 12 Ministers from GCC, U.S, Europe and the Middle East. In addition of World Health Organization General Manager as well as Arab League.
