The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, sponsors the International Conference of the Impact of Human Crowd during the period 23-25 October 2010 in Jeddah and with the presence and participation of Margaret Chan- World Health Organization General Manager, U.S Health Ministers and some Arabian and European countries such as Germany, Lebanon, GCC countries and Yemen. In addition of the Regional Director of the World Health Organization- Middle East, General Secretary of Islamic Conference Organization, General Secretary of GCC and General Secretary Assistance of Arab League.
Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, stated that the Conference aims to view scientific and practical experiments that have already dealt with in similar circumstances, which enhance the needed health procedures taken to deal with human crowds during Umrah and Hajj. In addition of viewing the Kingdom's unique experiments in Hajj season since it manages more than 1 million belligerent in one place and time.
Deputy Minister Assistant of Preventative Medicine and Manager of the Preparatory Committee of the Council, Dr. Zyad Mymish, said that the latest meeting discussed a number of issues such as the Conference importance in enhancing the needed procedures to deal with intensive human crowds especially in Hajj season and viewed participated sectors, which consist of 30 international experts. In addition of local experts related to the Kingdom health sectors and represent the U.S and Germany Ministries of Health, World Health Organization, U.S Diseases Combating Centers, Arab League, GCC Health Ministers Executive Office, Islamic Bank and FIFA.
In addition of a number of significant scientific participation from Governmental and local Sectors, i.e. Supreme Hajj Committee, Central Hajj Committee, Ministry of interior, Ministry of Hajj, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture and information, Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, General Authority of Civil Aviation, King Fahd Centre of Hajj Researches and sponsor universities.
Dr. Zyad Mymish added that the council members agreed on the importance of specialized instant translation due to the international participations and confirmed that such Council is important to advantage from world specialized experts in order to upgrade health programs in such fields, prevent crowd accidents and adopt a unified team work.
