Minister Congratulates Ministry of Health Employees

The Minister of Health, HE Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz al Rabeeah, directed the employees of Ministry of Health, General Directorates and Subsidiary Department to follow our leaders' instructions regarding committing to official work hours during Ramadan and increasing their continuous high quality provided efforts for patient services.
HE Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah sent a congratulatory letter to all Ministry of Health and Health Sectors employees on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, urging everyone to increase their efforts to provide high quality services to Ministry's services beneficiaries. Declared by Ministry's spokesman, Dr. Khaled Bin Mohammad Mergilany.
He stated that official working hours for governmental employees during Ramadan is 5 hours daily, starting from 10 am to 3 pm, based on Health Posts Regulations which increased the number of working hours and salaries as well. In addition of Civil Services Ministry Circulate regarding increasing contractors working hours to 48 hour a week.
Dr. Khaled Mergilany pointed out that Ramadan 1413 working hours for Ministry's employee is as followed:
First: MOH Divans, General Directorates and Subsidiary Departments:
1. Administrational and Ministry's employees: 5 days in a week (Saturday to Wednesday). One shift from 10 am to 3 pm.
2. Contractors registered in Health List (doctors and other Ministry's employees): 5 days in a week (Saturday to Wednesday). One shift from 10 am to 4 pm.
Second: Hospitals:
Five days in a week (Saturday to Wednesday) in accordance with shifts system:
1. Morning shifts:
(Consultant doctors) Saturday to Wednesday starting from 10:30 am to 1 pm.
(Other doctors and employee) Saturday to Wednesday starting from 10 am to 1 pm.
2. Evening Shifts: Saturday to Wednesday starting from 9 pm to 12 am.
Third: Health Centers:
1. Health Centers in cities and villages related to hospitals provide first aid services 24 hours: from Saturday to Wednesday
First shift: from 10 am to 1 pm
Second shift: from 9 pm to 12 am.
In addition of shifts participations according to shift schedules prepared by that region.
2. Health Centers in villages and Hegras not related to hospitals provide first aid services 24 hours: from Saturday to Wednesday
First shift: from 10 am to 1 pm
Second shift: from 9 pm to 12 am.
3. Technicians (not registered in Health Posts List) and administrational employees in Health Centers and External Clinics: 25 hours in a week, determined by concerned work place.
4. General Directorates and hospitals in each area and Health Province will organize shifts in Internal Departments and ER (24 hour). In addition of Health Centers which depend on shifts system.
Due to the large number of reviewers during evening shifts in External Clinics, Hospitals Managers will manage workers working hours through shifts.
