National Commission for Care of Psychiatric Patients.

The second meeting of the National Commission for the care of Psychiatric Patients and their families was headed by His Excellency Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah in his office at Ministry of Health.
 
The meeting discussed the draft of the statutes of the Commission and the observations of members of the Committee to organize in preparation for adoption, which contains the mechanisms of action and powers of the workers Committee and its objectives and resources, The meeting recommended the issuance of a directory of psychological services and a guide for patients and their families. Briefed the meeting on the Commission's budget and resources allocated to them and enhance their resources by opening an account for the committee to address and to support it. The meeting agreed to set up a preparatory committee are preparing to develop a vision for the work of the Committee for the next phase, and the establishment of Forum consultation on psychological and social terms of this proposal has been advanced and discussed in detail by the Committee  members discussed a number of topics on the agenda mainly discuss the system of mental health and comments on it and communicate with the Consultative Council on the importance of the issuance of the system. The meeting focused on the need to raise awareness of mental plan and the presence of information and clear and discussed with the representative of the Ministry of Information Commission was agreed to prepare a study of the most important material presented in the awareness campaign proposed. It is worth mentioning that the National Commission for the care of patients and their families was established by Council of Ministers headed by the Minister of Health and the membership of representatives from relevant ministries and functions of the Committee national policy-making in the care of psychiatric patients and their families and to propose the necessary regulations and new regulations to raise the level of psycho-social rehabilitation for this category.
