Officials and Health Leaderships Praise MOH Efforts in Hajj

Officials and health leaderships admired health accomplishments during this Hajj especially ones done by the Saudi government to provide health care to pilgrims. 
 
Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Recep Akdag, praised the high level of health services in Saudi Arabia specially services provided to the pilgrims. He stated that he is pleased by the high health level in the Kingdom, in addition he has asked the Minister of Health in Saudi Arabia to allow a delegate from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey to visit Operations Control Center in Mena Hospital to meet Saudi officials in order to benefit from their experiences in dealing with emergency cases, establishing operations control and information technology centers in addition to dealing with crowds.    
 
His Highness expressed his delight for the fact that all Hajj matters went great specially ones related to health where it was planned and executed greatly. Minister of Health in Saudi Arabia has performed a great job in providing health services to more than 3 million pilgrims within a limited time in a study worthy and beneficial way.
 
World Health Organization, Regional Director of the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hussein ALGezairy, stressed that the distinguished performance of the Ministry of Health grows every year despite of the increasing number of pilgrims, and that the air ambulance service has contributed successfully in referring injured or illness cases. He also praised the continuous care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Crown Prince and the Second Deputy toward pilgrim's services facilities. In addition he greeted the Minister of health on this epidemic-free Hajj.
 
Executive Office General Manager for GCC Ministers of Health Council, Dr. Tawfeeq Khoja stated that the leadership in this country follows an enlightened methodology and contributes successfully in this high priority season every year in order to provide care and security to pilgrims. He also praised the governmental sectors plans specially Hajj health plan in addition to the health services level in the Kingdom, which is appreciated internationally and a role model to follow; as a result to the strategic planning based on practical and rational basis that is supervised by Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz AL Rabeeah. 
 
The General Secretary of Health Services Council, Dr. Yaqoub Al Mazro'a said that the Kingdom has assured a disease-free Hajj over the last centuries, where the Ministry had a distinguished role in dealing with all epidemics such as swine flu and meningitis in African countries. He also notified that the Kingdom experience in this field is a rich experience and that having a disease-free Hajj is an important indication in evaluating comprehensive health services in both preventive and curative terms.
