MOH Hires Specific Medical Specialties Consultants

​Ministry of Health hired highly qualified consultants in specific specialties to work in the kingdom's different hospitals in order to enhance health care services.Assistant Undersecretary for Curative Medicine, Dr. Aqeel Al Ghamdi clarified that the Ministry after hiring highly qualified local consultants on a part-time contract within temporary medical support program to work in a number of central and referral hospitals, has done all the coordination procedures with both Jordan and Egypt regarding part-time contracting with more new groups .
 
Where the forth group of Jordanian doctors, that included 27 consultants in specific specialties, has arrived to work on the northern regions of the Kingdom. This group included a lot of specific specialties like intensive care, anesthesia, revival, microsurgery such as digestive system surgery, plastic surgery, urology surgery, ENT, thoracic surgery, blood vessels, general surgery, internal medicine, eye diseases, dental, pediatric endoscopy and a lot of other specific subspecialties.
 
Dr. Al Ghamdi, pointed out that the Assistance Agency for Curative Medicine has finalized the procedures of hiring 21 rare specialties consultants, professors of medicine from Egyptian universities. They are specialized in anal and rectal surgery, surgical oncology, endoscopy, urology surgery, microbiology, immunology, newborn diseases, newborns and premature infant diseases and other specialties.
 
Moreover, he added that more groups of consultant will be hired on a part-time contract to fulfill the needs of various regions hospitals. More efforts are done to finalize the last stages of the program according to the Assistance Agency for Curative Medicine plan by hiring highly qualified consultants in specific subspecialties from other countries.
