MOH Launch "Health...Hajj Supply" Awareness Campaign

Ministry of Health launched this year Hajj awareness campaign under the slogan of (Health…Hajj supply) that includes many activities and events. Where Information and Health Awareness Centre in MOH General Directorate of Information and Health Awareness is going to provide (Pilgrims Health) service, carried out by a toll-free number 8002494444 for the 3rd year in a row in daily basis, through hosting a group of the Kingdom's senior consultants in different health specializations.
 
The Centre responds to all inquiry calls from citizens and residents planning to perform Hajj this year .In addition, specialists respond to pilgrims' calls during Hajj performance. The service includes information about health requirements of Hajj, in addition to guiding information. This will be implemented starting Saturday 6/11/2010, where the Centre hosts Dr. Nasreen al-Sherbini, Infectious Diseases consultant in the Military Hospital from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to answer questions about epidemic and infectious diseases, and provide advice and guidance to pilgrims to prevent from these diseases and clarify how to handle emergencies. It will also host Dr. Munira Barajaa, Family and Community Medicine consultant in the National Guard Hospital from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
 
MOH Directorate of Information and Health Awareness will provide the gaudiness and awareness service (Pilgrims Health) before and during Umrah and Hajj season. It will host on Sunday 7/11/2010, Dr. Fatima Al-Ja'awan, Gynecology consultant at Al-Yamama Hospital from 10:00am to 12:00pm to answer female pilgrims' questions and advise them about what to do before and during Hajj season, in addition to Dr. Safia El-Sherbini, Diabetes and Endocrine consultant in King Fahad Medical City from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
 
While on Monday 8/11/2010, the centre will host in the first segment, Dr. Naela Anwar Al-Jadaayil, MOH Chest Diseases Department director, to answer questions about chest diseases and provide medical advices. In the second segment, it will host Dr. Mohamed Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi, consultant cardiologist, catheter interventions for adult congenital heart disease consultant at Prince Sultan Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery, to educate old pilgrims and answer their questions; clarifying their health condition and their capability to perform Hajj.
 
On Tuesday 9/11/2010, Dr. Khaled Ali Altalhi, MOH Tropical Medicine and Community Medicine consultant, will be the Centre host from 10:00am to 12:00 p.m., to answer sick pilgrims questions. While on the second segment, the Centre will host Amal Muawia Abul Jadayil, pharmacists and supervisor of MOH Directorate of Information and Health Awareness from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, to provide advice and guidance to pilgrims and their relatives about the importance of committing to pharmaceutical prescriptions recommended by doctors and visiting the nearest healthcare provider in case of emergency.
 
In the aspect of Remedial and General Nutrition during Hajj and Umrah season this year, Dr. Abdullah Al Sadhaan, MOH Nutrition consultant, receives questions from pilgrims on Wednesday 10/11/2010 from 10:00am to12:00pm. While in the same day, Dr. Nasser Al-Dosari, consultant and director of Hepatology and Digestive System at King Saud Medical Complex in Riyadh, will answer the questions of patients and their families from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
