MOH Directorate of Religious Awareness Accomplishments Report

Ministry of Health Directorate of Religious Awareness visited 91.821 hospitalized patients during 1430/1431.
 
The Directorate issued a report indicating that 49.308 gifts were given to patients and workers, in addition to the distribution of 19.960 tayamom boxes, 435.432 Arabic and 152.933 non-Arabic publications, 149.267 audio materials, 2754  book carriers and 28.433 copies of the Holy Qur'an.
 
Moreover, the events that were carried out by the directorate included 86 training courses and 12070 lectures, and participated in 194 exhibitions.
 
The number of new Muslims reached 444 people of both sexes of Ministry facilities workers in cooperation with Islamic Educational Foundations. Religious educational administrations in all regions were keen to help their health facilities employees in performing Hajj rituals especially new Muslims, which reaches nearly 2410 pilgrims.
 
Ministry of Health Directorate of Religious Awareness Director, Mr. Ali bin Sulaiman AL Jamhaan stated that his administration is playing an important role in patients' awareness field, advising them about fiqh provisions during their visits, helping and supporting them. In addition to providing them with their needs of Holy Qur'an copies , tayamom boxes, prayer rugs, booklets and publications, audio tapes, televisions and other proper religious awareness methods.
 
AL Jamaan added that these attempts can be implemented through the Directorate vision, which is based on originality and distinctive religious awareness in health sectors, as well as its message, in which it is an educational and awareness department that serves patients and workers.
 
Al-Jamaan notified that the Directorate strategic plans include raising religious awareness of hospitalized patients and health facilities visitors, preparing religious educational administrations workers, as well as patient relations workers. This can be achieved by attending courses in the field of communication, methodology of comforting patients and other skills improvement courses, in addition to Fiqh courses.
 
Al-Jamhaan clarified that strategies and plans were set through several means and methods that have been implemented by directorates of health affairs branches in   all provinces, and religious awareness sections in health facilities. Which was done by communicating with the patient by making a list of new patients' names, visiting and providing them with their needs in coordination with their doctors in addition to filling a form that includes the patient's name, condition and needs.
 
Moreover, He also mentioned that his directorate has set several missionary courses for religious awareness associates' in all provinces, and participated in expositions held by other related governmental bodies including an exposition called (be a missionary)
