Continuous Monitoring By National Committee for Contagious Diseases

As part of the National Scientific Committee for Contagious Diseases dedication and continuous efforts to monitor epidemic diseases statues across the world, the Committee held yesterday meeting, Saturday 3 October 2010, with the presence of different Health Sectors members. World Health Organization lately reports were presented in the Meeting where a number H1A1 cases appeared in New Zealand, Chile, India, China and Thailand.
 
Accordingly, the Committee recommended concerned Health Sectors to continue presenting preventative procedures, massive gatherings public health requirements and giving seasonal flue vaccinations. In addition of giving the needed medication (Tamiflu) when infection occurs and activating epidemic diseases monitoring in hospitals and Primary Health Care Centers. Furthermore, the Committee highly recommended taking Meningitis and Seasonal Flue Vaccination for those who are willing to perform Hajj for this year.  
   
Moreover, the Committee advised citizens and residents to follow safe health requirements and medical instructions for their own health and safety, such as washing hands with water and soup and use tissue when sneezing.
