Under the Sponsorship of the custodian of the two Holy mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, the International Conference of human crowd mass medicine was concluded today in Jeddah with the presence of more than 500 experts and 30 speakers and specialists from different countries around the world, and experts from World Health Organization, Gulf and Arabian organizations.
It was announced by the Conference, Jeddah's Declaration of the human crowds and gatherings mass medicine.
The following is the text of the Declaration:

In the period between 23rd-25th October 2010, the world conference of human crowds and gathering mass medicine" expertise and experiences, an opportunity for development" was held in Jeddah .Which was blessed with the care of the Custodian of the two holy mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, may God grant him with care. And with the presence of the excellencies Ministers of Hajj, culture and information, and health ministers of the GCC, and the Arab countries and the Director General of the World Health Organization, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab countries and many health leaders of countries from around the world and scientific organizations, local and regional specialized in this Conference.
Where on the behalf of the Custodian of the two Holy mosques; His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al- Rabeeah has initiated the opening of the Conference, with the presence of all participant parties in the Organization.
Following the discussion of all the working papers that were submitted by all experts and participants in the Conference, in addition to the discussion of their Excellencies the ministers, and heads of international bodies and all delegations participating in the round table participants. They unanimously praised the leading role and the substantial experience gained by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by organizing the Hajj and Umrah seasons, and the measures that are considered to grant the safety and security of pilgrims, also the maintenance of their health. Also they agreed on the importance of the kingdom's leading role in the area of the health of crowds and human gatherings mass.
Having examined the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques speech, may God grant him protection, regarding the medicine of human crowds and dealing with people gathering mass, all participants decided to adopt Jeddah's Declaration of human gatherings and crowds mass medicine as the first of the declaration of a regional international, that confirms the importance of providing comprehensive health care to beneficiaries of these services with investment in all the foundations for the integration of such care, particularly regarding the health promotion and health education, also prevention measures in finding needed competencies .
And the following is the text of the declaration:
Jeddah's Declaration for the Health of the Crowds and Human Mass
First: providing gratitude and highest thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for sponsoring the conference, and to the Saudi Government for facilitating the gathering of this Conference, which will be beneficial to developing the health of the human crowds in the world.
Second: the recommendation of establishing an international reference that is competent in human gathering and crowds' mass health. Based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in charge of the following tasks:
A. classification and definition of terms. Functions and activities of crowd's health.
B. The deployment of culture, programs and regulations for crowds' health, based on data research outputs reckonable and certainty.
C. performing a deep analytical study, where it comes to all the aspects of crowds' health.
D. Working and updating the policies, work regulations and instruction manuals.
E. preparing a database to study and follow-up the current situation, and the extent of the progress made in promoting this concept.
F. Performing feedback and future studies and taking corrective actions for health systems nationally, regionally and globally. to review its performance and the national health practices based on international initiatives and solutions based on the evidence that has proved their effectiveness in such human groupings.
G. Providing advice and counseling services to the countries regarding the promotion of international cooperation, and consolidating national efforts of the plans and programs in health of human crowds and people gathering mass area as an embodiment of global responsibility towards global health security.
H. cooperating and coordinating with relevant international bodies and organizations at all levels in scientifically, research, training and informatics.
I - collecting, spreading and exchanging the successful experiences in the health of the human gatherings and crowds' mass area.
Third: placing the frameworks and plans of a coordinated health awareness and information, aimed to raise awareness and educating the participants in human gatherings with the preventive actions before, during and after attending any human gatherings, taking in consideration the particularities of each gathering in terms of the site, preparation, cultures and timing. With the reactivation of the civilians role in society to participate in health awareness, and educating the participants in the human crowds.
The demand of the World Health Organization to adopt the establishment of an awareness program, specialized in the crowds gathering's health that sponsors placing plans professionally along with using high techniques, modern information and coordination with Member from other countries for their implementation to be followed up in a scientific research of the outcome of these programs.
Fourth: Working on embedding an academic framework for the specialization on the human crowds and gathering mass health that includes all the groups that have a role in serving the crowds, medical, healthily and environmentally and have supported this study to the Saudi Arabian body for medical specializations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
Fifth: encouraging the scientific research bodies, universities and national and international research that are financed to include the research of human crowds and gatherings mass medicine with priority to give research funding.
Sixth: The convening of this forum regularly every two years and for the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to the experience clustery gained by the Government of the Custodian of the two holy mosques in the area of the crowds service, and to have it done in coordination with the World Health Organization and international bodies that are related to scientific academy.
Seventh: adopting the idea of the development of a prize, that would be based in the kingdom with a global character, and that it would be granted every two years at the time of the conference. To be named Prize of the Custodian of the two holy mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud for health of the human crowds, its objective is to honor distinguished practitioners in authentication new medical research in this new area.
