03 May 2009
The Ministry of Health has advised the public to take utmost care when traveling to countries afflicted with swine flue, especially Mexico, which has witnessed an escalating trend of infections and deaths and is, therefore, treated as the mostly affected country by the World Health Organization.

Confirming the earnestness of the Royal Court to protect the health and safety of all citizens and residents, a statement issued by MOH said such measures are being taken in accordance with the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. They had been made within the precautious measures taken in such cases, the statement said.

According to the statement, MOH is following closely the developments of the disease through the reports and data issued by the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control in USA, and other relative organizations. It is exerting great effort to prevent entry of the disease to the Kingdom by screening those arriving from countries affected by H1N1.
