KSMC applies electronic transfer

In a step unprecedented within MOH hospitals, the Board of Directors of King Saud Medical Complex (KSMC) discussed in a meeting held yesterday the project of electronic transfer of cases between KSMC and the health centers in Riyadh, said KSMC Director of Public Relations and Information Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Al-Subaih. "An experimental electronic transfer from a health center to the complex has been made", he said. "The project shall start by three centers then generalized later to include all KSMC health centers in Riyadh".
 
He said the project will enable the health centers to set appointments with KAMC in accordance with the patient's requirement. "It will also support the system of case transferring between the complex and MOH hospitals".
 
He said the meeting also discussed the non medical operation and maintenance contract for the years 2010-2013. "The attendants reviewed the contract to ensure avoidance of all shortcomings of the former contract", he said. "They stressed the importance of compatibility of the new contract with the developmental plan and the expansion in buildings and services"
 
Other issues on the agenda included the execution of the second phase of the developmental constructive plan, namely the second medical tower, which includes the gynecology hospital and the pediatric hospital.
 
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the MOH Director General of Health Affairs Dr. Husham bin Mohammed Nadhira and membership of the managers of KSMC hospitals.
