riod for effectuating the Special Health Establishment Act extended
15 March 2008
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has approved extending the time limit for applying the requirement for ownership of medical establishments by Saudi physicians, a step based on a relative report raised by the Minister of Health to the Royal Court.

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane said the decision has been taken to enable the owners of clinics to settle their situations in accordance with the Special Health Establishments Act during the coming period.

It is worth stating here that Article 2 of the Special Health Establishments Act, which has been issued as per the resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 240, dated 26/10/1423, states that any health establishment must be wholly or partially owned by a Saudi physician.
