WHO appreciates MOH efforts

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane has received the congratulations of WHO representative Dr. Awad Abu Zaid Mukhtar for the efforts exerted during the 1429 Hajj season and the services offered to pilgrims, which has resulted in an epidemic free Hajj season in spite of the high number of pilgrims arriving this year. 
 
MOH has adopted integrated plans for preventing epidemic and microscopic diseases subject to WHO surveillance regulations from entering to the Kingdom. MOH has implemented its health requirements on all pilgrims arriving from abroad and accordingly all pilgrims have been subjected to strict checkups at the different terrestrial, marine and aerial openings.
 
In addition, 24 hospitals and 138 health centers have been highly equipped to provide the best health services to pilgrims. MOH has provided 14,000 units of blood and blood products, deployed a highly equipped fleet of ambulances, and established 16 emergency centers at Jamarat area.
