MOH Director General of Labs and Blood Banks Mr. Ibrahim A. Al-Omar has obtained PhD Degree from Notingham University in Britain on his thesis titled (Evaluation of a number of tests for identification of Marlaria and their relation with deficiency of blood platelets and cholesterol in Malaria patients). The panel of examiners had been composed of Prof David Ritchard from Cambridge University (External Examiner) and Prof Franco Felconi (Internal Examiner).
Dr. Omar is holder of MSc degree in blood diseases from King Saud University in 2000. He was admitted to the PhD program at Notingham University in 2003.
