The Minister of Health appreciates CLFD Performance

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane met at his office at the MOH premises the Central Lab of Foods and Drugs (CLFD) General Manager Dr. Riyadh bin Mohammed Al-Oshban and the CLFD lab specialist Mohammed Shararah. His Highness honored the two CLFD representatives on behalf of the other employees in presence of the MOH Undersecretary of Labs and Blood Banks Mr. Abdullah bin Zamil Al-Dirais. Dr. Al-Mane appreciated the distinguished performance of CLFD workers and their efforts for upgrading the health situation. He praised the entrusted results of the CLFD tests conducted for registering drugs produced by national factories as well as drugs imported from outside the Kingdom.
 
Greatly appreciating the honor bestowed on them Mr. Al-Dirais said CLFD has conducted about 300,000 tests for drug samples in the year 1427, in addition to 7728 tests for herb preparations and about 32,000 chemical and physical analyses of water samples. It has also studied the files of 470 drug preparations submitted for MOH certification.
 
The percentage of incompatible drugs during the year 1427 according to Al-Drais has been 9,27% of the total samples, most of which being herb drugs and drinking water samples.
