Electric current returned to King Fahad Hospital, says Al-Qahtani

Directed by the guidance of the Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Province HRH Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majid, and followup of HH the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane, the Deputy Director General of Al-Madinah Health Affairs Dr. Khalid Yassin made an inspection tour to all private hospitals in Al-Madinah to be reassured of the situation of the patients who have been transferred from King Fahad Hospital.
 
Dr. Yassin held an emergency meeting with the general managers of Al-Madinah hospitals under the follwoup and directions of HH the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane.
 
The meeting yielded the following:
  • Suspension of works at work centers of Al-Madinah government hospitals and transferring them into normal sections for accommodating more beds.
  • Transferring patients who have been evacuated to private hospitals from King Fahad Hospital to government hospitals.
  • Operating King Fahad Hospital for emergencies and accidents as well as operating surgery and intensive care rooms.
  • Activating the Health Affairs operations room for following transference of patients between hospitals.
  • Formation of a committee for coordinating transference of patients between hospitals.
  • Reevaluating the Province emergency plan for ensuring coping with events.
The MOH Director General of Projects and Maintenance Eng Mohammed Al-Qahtani said the electric current has been returned to King Fahad Hospital, confirming the electric situation is now secure and all systems are working at their full capacity. He said a new electric network shall be installed in the hospital in accordance with the directions of HH the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane.
