The Board of Trustees of the GCC Nursing Specialties Council shall hold its fourth meeting in Doha, Qatar on Saturday June 23, 2007. The meeting is held following receipt of the Council's headquarters building in Qatar, an achievement realized through a generous initiative of Shiekhah Ghalia bint Mohammed Al Thani, Head of Qatar National Health Authority, said Tawfeeq Ahmed Khoja, Director General of the Executive Bureau of the GCC Council of Health Ministers and Consultant of the GCC Nursing Specialties Council.
He appreciated the decision No. 10 taken by the GCC Ministers of Health in their 62nd meeting in Kuwait on 23rd and 24th Jan, 2007, whereby the Basic Act and the General Budget of the Council have been approved.
He said the meeting comes in time following receipt of the Council's Headquarters building. Works are now underway for furnishing the building and finalizing necessary recruitments in accordance with the timetable set for the first phase of the project.
It has been decided that the new building shall be officially launched during the first week of April 2007. Dr. Khaoja Appreciated the great efforts made by the GCC Ministers of Health for finalizing the establishment works of this great edifice. He expressed his hope that the Board of Trustees of the GCC Nursing Specialties Council shall contribute to the development of nursing services in the GCC countries.
