A study course targeting media reporters is organized by the Ministry of Health starting as of today Sunday April 22, 2007. The two days course shall discuss the preventive aspects of disease combating.
The MOH Assistant Undersecretary for Preventive Medicine Dr. Ali Al-Zahrani expressed MOH concern for maintaining close relations with the public through media channels. He said this informative course includes 14 lectures on infectious diseases, avian flue, immunization diseases, hepatitis, common diseases, TB, AIDS, leishmaniasis, bilharzias, malaria, food and chemical safety, and medical wastes.
"The course intends to provide media staff with the basic information on the diseases related to preventive medicine for enabling them to convey the right image to the society", he said.
