Kingdom praised for eradicating poliomyelitis

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia obtained an appreciation certificate from the World Health Organization for its success in eradicating poliomyelitis.

Dr. Khalid M. Marghalani, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health said this achievement would not have been a reality without the aid of the Almighty God and the generous support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He said no case has been recorded in the Kingdom since 1995, denoting that the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane shall patronize on Saturday the gathering which will be organized by the Ministry of Health on this occasion, which will be attended by some prominent personalities, health officials, and representatives of international organizations and media.
