Dr. Mansour Al-Hawasi, the MOH Undersecretary for Executive Affairs, said MOH has accomplished all preparatory works for convening the Arabic Child Health Conference, which will be held in Riyadh under the banner (Arabic Child Health .. A Nation's Investment). He said preparations within the Ministry of Health have been under way throughout the past period for ensuring the best results for the conference works.
He said a number of specialized committees have been formed, each committee being responsible of the tasks assigned to it. "The committee's extensive efforts shall add to the efficiency of the conference works", he said.
Al-Hawasi valued the government support as well as the efforts of UNICEF and WHO in caring childhood health in the Arab countries. He appreciated the pioneering role of Talal bin Abdul Aziz, the president of the Arabian Gulf Program for Supporting UN Developmental Organizations, and his efforts in lifting the sufferings of children in the Arab world.
