Symposium Discusses the Impacts of Healthy Marriage on Arabic Childhood Health

In line with the activities of the Arabic Child Health Conference, Which is convened under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, a symposium shall be organized at the Intercontinental hotel on the impacts of healthy marriage on childhood health, from religious and social points of view.
 
The symposium shall be headed by Dr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Zahrani, the MOH Undersecretary for Preventive Medicine, and addressed by Shiekh Salman Al-Oda, Dr. Mohsen Al-Hazmi, Shura Assembly Mb, and Dr. Ali Al-Omari, the MOH General Manager of Non Infective Diseases.
 
The symposium shall discuss the importance of pre-marriage checkup in maintaining good health for children. Its convening is based on the background of the high prevalence rates of hereditary blood diseases in a number of Arabic countries recently.
 
It is to be mentioned here that the conference endeavors to realize a number of goals, including evaluation of the health status of children in the Arabic countries during the last five years (2000 – 2005), defining the obstacles and problems affecting the health status of Arabic children, and reviewing the health policies, attained achievements, and anticipations for the coming five years. It will also endeavor, through its outputs and recommendations, to formulize a view for the programs and projects to be adopted for improving the health services provided to Arabic children.
