Assistant Directors of Health Affairs for Public Health Review the Plan of the Influenza Vaccination Program in Riyadh

In reference to the directive issued by His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health to reinforce and strengthen Influenza Vaccination Program, and as part of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommendations to annually monitor the disease at the international level through using a specific formulation of the season influenza vaccine to set strategies for prevention and control of the disease, the assistant directors of health affairs for public health in regions and provinces held a meeting on Sunday 21/10/1435H (corresponding to 17/8/2014), in Riyadh, to review the plan of the Influenza Vaccination Program.

During the meeting, the Director of the National Expanded Program on Immunization, Dr. Aisha Al-Shammary, discussed the plan in detail, shedding light on the role to be played by each assistant director to render this plan a success.
