Governance and Organization
The Ada’a Health Award operates under a comprehensive governance structure that ensures efficiency, transparency, and fairness in the evaluation process. It consists of the following committees:
Supervisory Committee: Aligns the work of the award committees and oversees the overall implementation of the award.
Steering Committee: Sets the strategic direction and ensures alignment with national health priorities.
Scientific Committee: Ensures technical and methodological accuracy and standardizes evaluation criteria.
Judging Committee: Provides specialized and impartial evaluations conducted by national and international judges.
Disqualification and Appeals Committee: Ensures fairness and transparency while reviewing objections and appeals.
Executive Committee: Oversees and supports the award’s financial, administrative, and technical operations.
Judging Methodology
The Ada’a Health Award follows a comprehensive evaluation methodology consisting of two main phases:
Phase One: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Assessment
The evaluation process begins by measuring the performance of healthcare organizations based on objective data and outcomes, including achievement of KPIs, performance trends, benchmarking, and alignment with national healthcare priorities.
This phase identifies high-performing organizations eligible to advance to the next stage. It accounts for 50% of the final score, reflecting the importance of achieving measurable and sustainable results.
Phase Two: Systems Assessment (Including the Site Visit)
This phase focuses on evaluating the organization’s operating systems, including planning, implementation, monitoring, improvement, and sustainability.
Its purpose is to ensure that achieved results are driven by effective and sustainable systems rather than temporary accomplishments. This phase accounts for the remaining 50% of the final score.
