When did the Walk30 initiative start?
The initiative began in 2019 to encourage society to increase the rate of physical activity, to maintain health and to resist chronic diseases.
In conjunction with this initiative, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has adopted the fifth of March as a special national day in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support and stimulate walking behavior.

The event is held once a year.

The event is activated annually in more than 20 regions and their affiliated cities around the Kingdom, namely:
Riyadh Region, Jeddah Governorate, Makkah Region, Medina Region, Tabuk Region, Eastern Region, Al-Ahsa Governorate, Qassim Region, Hail Region, Asir Region, Al-Jawf Region, Northern Border Region, Qurayyat Governorate, Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, Bisha Governorate, Al-Bahah Region Najran Region, Jazan Region, Hafar Al-Batin Governorate, Taif Governorate.
