MOH Fines a Number of Private Health Institutions Due to Their Irregularities
The Ministry of Health (MOH) approved the decision of the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the Saudi private health installations at Asir Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine a warehouse for medical solutions in Khamis Meshayt by SR 100,000; due to observing 26 irregularities on the warehouse, including working without license, the matter violating the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products. The decision also stipulated to close the institution for a period of 60 days.
 
Furthermore, the MOH approved the decision of the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the Saudi private health institutions at the Eastern Region Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine a private pharmacy in Hafr Al-Batin by SR 10.000, for working with an expired license, the matter violating articles (3, 7 and 37) of the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products. Also, the same pharmacy has been fined by SR 5.000 for working without a manager, the matter violating article (3) of the same Law.
 
Within the same vein, the MOH approved the decision of the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the health profession practice law at Madinah Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine a pharmacist working at a private pharmacy in Madinah by SR 10.000, for working without license from the Medical Licenses Department at Madinah Health Affairs General Directorate. This penalty is issued pursuant to articles (30 and 3) of the Implementing Regulations of the above-mentioned Law. Also, the pharmacy is obliged to pay the fine if the pharmacist is outside the Kingdom.
