Transformation to Electronic Transactions
Electronic Payment
Electronic Payment:
To facilitate the payments via electronic means, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has embarked on linking the payment of its services to several electronic payment systems; in an endeavor to enable the beneficiaries of MOH services to pay the required fees of such services conveniently and effectively.
Payment through “Sadad” System:
The MOH has linked some of its services to e-payment system dubbed “Sadad”. This system currently enables the beneficiaries of the MOH services to pay, across its Biller Code 128 on the system, the fees of some e-services, such as the Request for Proposal (RFP) e-Purchasing Service. It is an online service having to do with the bids and tenders of the Ministry of Health (MOH). It enables companies to register, review bids and tenders, and purchase the bid requirements and specifications via the SADAD Payment System. The service offers information about tenders, including the tender name and its description, as well as the tendering date. In addition, the bidding deadline, the envelopes opening date and the tender status are to be offered as well. Through this service, moreover, the user can search for the MOH's tenders, based on several criteria.

It is worth mentioning that these numerous benefits provided for beneficiaries, through the e-payment through “Sadad” System, save the bidder's time and effort, as he is not required to attend in person to the headquarters to benefit from the service.

Stemming from its keenness to meet the highest standards of the operational efficiency, in order to face any potential challenges, MOH has linked its services to “Sadad” system. Hence, this system,  as a link between two parties, provides the automated payments service for services provided by different entities. In addition, it has an instant payment notification feature, which encourages the users to switch to more effective electronic channels as well as the ability to pay the bills and payments using this system through the available banks.
