In response to content circulating on social media regarding an expatriate healthcare practitioner (a pediatrician) filming patients while providing care, publishing content that violates their privacy, and making derogatory statements about Saudi medical staff; the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed taking immediate action by summoning the practitioner for investigation. This action reflects the Ministry's regulatory authority to safeguard patient rights and privacy, while ensuring strict adherence to health regulations, bylaws, and approved professional codes of ethics in the Kingdom.

The Ministry clarified that it is taking necessary regulatory measures against the healthcare facility employing the practitioner, as well as referring the individual to the competent authorities for further legal procedures based on jurisdiction. MOH reaffirmed that any breach of patient privacy, infringement on their dignity, or violation of health regulations and professional ethics will be met with full legal accountability.

Furthermore, MOH emphasized its commitment to ongoing regulatory oversight across all health facilities and practitioners to ensure compliance with health standards. It urged members of the public to report any violations through the unified call center (937), thereby contributing to the protection of patient rights and elevating the safety and quality of healthcare services.
