Deputy Governor of Riyadh Witnesses Partnerships for New Health Projects

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province, today attended the signing of community partnership agreements at the Palace of Government between Al-Shakireen Endowments for Community Service (Malhi bin Salama bin Saedan and Brothers Endowments) and the First Riyadh Health Cluster to establish and equip seven healthcare projects in the governorates of Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Quwayiyah, and Al-Rayn, in the presence of H.E. Minister of Health Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, HRH welcomed the attendees on behalf of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Province.
HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman expressed his gratitude to the wise leadership for its continued support of initiatives that contribute to enhancing healthcare projects in the province, improving the health of citizens and residents, and strengthening the Kingdom’s healthcare system. He expressed his hope that these projects would benefit the targeted governorates, their residents, and visitors, and align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030​.
HRH said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have supported initiatives that advance charitable work and strengthen the nonprofit sector in service of people in the Kingdom, placing people at the heart of development and the attention of the wise leadership.
HRH also expressed his appreciation to Minister AlJalajel for his continued efforts to support healthcare projects in the province, and to Malhi bin Salama bin Saedan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Shakireen Endowments, for the endowments’ contribution to these projects, which embody meaningful community partnership.
Minister AlJalajel then delivered a speech commending the support and commitment of the Governor of Riyadh Province and his Deputy to healthcare projects in the province. He expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province for attending and sponsoring the signing of the community partnership agreements with Al-Shakireen Endowments for Community Service.
The Minister affirmed that the wise leadership’s approach is to put people’s health first. He highlighted the multiple community partnerships with Al-Shakireen Endowments across several provinces of the Kingdom, noting that the leadership’s approach is based on strengthening integration among the government, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Anazi, CEO of the First Riyadh Health Cluster, then delivered a speech thanking the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province for his support for healthcare efforts and community participation in the province, as well as the Minister of Health for his commitment to and follow-up of the health clusters’ efforts in Riyadh Province.
Dr. Al-Anazi highlighted the importance of these agreements and their role in strengthening community partnership, supporting efforts to develop healthcare services, and enhancing their quality.
He said: “Today, we are witnessing the signing of an agreement to establish and equip seven healthcare projects in the governorates of Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Quwayiyah, and Al-Rayn, at a total cost exceeding SAR 85 million. This community partnership will contribute to supporting and developing a range of healthcare services in these governorates and their affiliated villages, covering a geographic area of more than 500 km.”
Dr. Al-Anazi thanked Al-Shakireen Endowments and its officials for this initiative, as well as all entities and teams that contributed to its preparation and implementation.
HRH then witnessed the signing of agreements to launch seven healthcare projects across the governorates. In Al-Muzahimiyah, the projects include a kidney care building and an outpatient clinics building; in Al-Quwayiyah, a diabetes care building and a physical therapy and rehabilitation building; and in Al-Rayn, outpatient clinics, Al-Mithnah Health Center, and an administrative building.
Malhi bin Salama bin Saedan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Shakireen Endowments, then delivered a speech expressing his appreciation to the Governor of Riyadh Province and his Deputy for their support, commitment, and follow-up of the endowments’ activities. He also commended HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman’s support, attendance, and sponsorship of the signing of the community partnership agreements with the First Riyadh Health Cluster.
Bin Saedan said: “These agreements would not have been possible without the wise leadership’s support for the nonprofit sector and sustainable development plans in the Kingdom, as well as the security, stability, and prosperity enjoyed by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.”
These agreements build on the generous support that the healthcare system receives from the wise leadership, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve people’s health and quality of life.
The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Undersecretary of Riyadh Province Emirate Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Qannas, along with a number of Ministry of Health leaders, governors of the province’s governorates, and representatives of Al-Shakireen Endowments for Community Service.
