President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Receives Minister of Health

His Excellency President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan received H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, Minister of Health, in the capital, Tashkent, during his official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Minister conveyed to the President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with their wishes for His Excellency’s continued health and happiness and for the Republic of Uzbekistan and its friendly people to enjoy further progress and prosperity.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, highlighting the strong ties that unite them and commending the rapid progress in their relationship. The two sides also discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the health and investment sectors.
The meeting also covered several priority areas, including digital transformation, the development of the healthcare system, regulation of the pharmaceutical industry, training and capacity building for healthcare professionals, and the establishment of a multi-specialty hospital in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The discussions addressed the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries in the health sector during the President of Uzbekistan’s visit to the Kingdom in August 2022, the joint initiatives that have resulted from it, as well as the signing of several agreements during the current visit, further strengthening health and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Mr. Saad bin Nasser Abu Haimed, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Uzbekistan; Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Abunayyan, Chairman of the Saudi-Uzbek Business Council; Dr. Omar AlShanqiti, Advisor to the Minister of Health; and Dr. Nouf bint Suleiman AlNumair, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation.
