The Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that the claims made in a widely circulated video promoting a project called “Asia Medical City” are false. The Ministry stated that the project has not received any approvals or licenses from the MoH and has no legal status authorizing it to announce the establishment or operation of a healthcare facility.
The Ministry explained that the individual appearing in the video is a physician and former director of one of the Ministry’s hospitals, and that he has been summoned to complete the applicable legal procedures in accordance with relevant regulations.
The MoH also denied claims that 50 Asian countries are participating in the project, as well as the misleading information presented in the video regarding the healthcare system and the regulation of alternative medicine services, emphasizing that such claims contradict the Kingdom’s approved laws and regulations. The Ministry stressed that announcing any healthcare project or providing any health service requires obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals and licenses in accordance with established procedures to ensure legality and credibility.
The Ministry reaffirmed the importance of obtaining information from official sources and avoiding reliance on unauthorized claims or advertisements. It also emphasized its continued commitment to enforcing applicable regulations as part of its regulatory responsibilities to protect public health and community safety.
