The Ministry of Health continues to support innovative solutions through the
Sandbox initiative, aiming to advance health innovation and accelerate digital transformation, while improving the quality of healthcare services. The initiative supports the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under
Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to the development of a vibrant society with sustainable health.
The Ministry explained that the initiative provides a flexible testing environment for innovators, startups, and solution developers to evaluate digital health solutions across a range of fields, including digital health, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), biotechnology, and 3D printing. A dedicated committee reviews the solutions and provides technical and regulatory guidance to accelerate development and enhance deployment readiness.
The Ministry noted that
Sandbox has supported 342 innovative solutions and enabled the graduation of 25 solutions after successfully completing testing and validation in an appropriate experimental environment.
The Ministry of Health continues to empower innovators to develop high-impact solutions that support the future of healthcare in the Kingdom and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional and global hub for health innovation and advanced medical technologies.
