Health Minister: Cabinet Commendation Affirms Health Transformation

Minister of Health and Chairman of the Health Sector Transformation Program Committee, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his appreciation for the Cabinet’s recognition of the achievements made by the Health Sector Transformation Program in building a more integrated and efficient healthcare system that places people’s health at the forefront of its priorities. These achievements include improving access to healthcare services, enhancing their quality, strengthening comprehensive healthcare, expanding the Healthy Cities Program, reinforcing preventive care, and empowering communities to adopt sustainable healthy lifestyles.
His Excellency emphasized that this recognition reflects the unlimited support and continuous empowerment provided to the health sector by the Kingdom’s wise leadership. He noted that this support has enabled integrated institutional efforts that have advanced healthcare services, improved system efficiency, and enhanced the beneficiary experience.
He further explained that the health transformation has established a broader concept of health centered on prevention and public health while empowering communities to adopt sustainable healthy lifestyles, alongside expanding the Healthy Cities Program to enhance quality of life and support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030​.
His Excellency added that raising the Kingdom’s life expectancy to 79.7 years is one of the most significant indicators of the transformation’s impact, reflecting the continuous development of healthcare services, the expansion of healthcare coverage, and the strengthening of preventive programs.
He concluded by reaffirming the health ecosystem’s commitment, in collaboration with relevant entities, to continue developing healthcare services, strengthening public health and preventive care, improving operational efficiency, and sustaining achievements to maximize health outcomes and enhance quality of life across the Kingdom.
