The Ministry of Health has activated 30 health units, including 26 in Muzdalifah and 4 distributed across the Jamarat area and the Grand Mosque, to serve pilgrims during the 1447H Hajj season. The initiative aims to enhance healthcare coverage and improve access to medical services as part of the health system’s efforts to provide integrated healthcare for pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, helping pilgrims perform their rituals in good health and safety.
The health units provide treatment for heatstroke, heat exhaustion, physical fatigue, skin injuries and chafing, asthma attacks, fainting, and snake and insect bites, ensuring rapid medical response to health emergencies.
The health system has also deployed more than 3,000 emergency vehicles and response units, 11 air ambulances, and 526 emergency dispatch points, supported by over 7,700 field emergency personnel, as part of its comprehensive Hajj preparedness plan to serve pilgrims throughout the season.
