Minister of Health Inspects Makkah Health Facilities for Hajj 1447H

Minister of Health H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel inspected several healthcare facilities across Makkah over two days to assess their readiness for the Hajj 1447H season. The visits reflect the leadership’s commitment to providing pilgrims with the highest standards of healthcare and ensuring their health and safety, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The Minister emphasized that the readiness of healthcare facilities in Makkah remains a top priority. He noted that operational plans focus on expanding capacity, integrating preventive, curative, and emergency services, enhancing the preparedness of healthcare and technical personnel, and strengthening coordination across the health sector to ensure comprehensive healthcare for pilgrims and effective response to all cases.
The tour in the Central Area included Ajyad Hospital, Al Jiwar Hospital, the Command and Control Center of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and a review of the readiness of private emergency medical service providers. The Minister also visited King Faisal Hospital, Makkah General Hospital, King Abdulaziz Hospital, and Al Noor Specialist Hospital.
The tour also included King Abdullah Medical City, where the Minister reviewed its readiness as a leading tertiary referral center supporting healthcare services during Hajj. He also reviewed advanced medical technologies used to monitor pilgrims’ health, helping accelerate procedures and improve response quality.
During the inspections, the Minister reviewed operational readiness, the integration of healthcare services, the preparedness of emergency and intensive care units, critical care response plans, rapid response mechanisms, the integration of command and control systems, and coordination among health and emergency entities to ensure timely, high-quality healthcare throughout the Hajj season.
These field visits reflect the Ministry of Health’s commitment to monitoring operational readiness and strengthening integrated healthcare services across all sites to ensure the highest standards of health safety during Hajj 1447H.
