The Ministry of Health (MoH), in collaboration with the Public Health Authority (
Weqaya), has launched the Hajj 1447H Awareness Guide in eight languages under the slogan “Healthy Hajj”. The initiative aims to promote prevention and enhance health awareness among pilgrims, in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, by providing tailored health guidance throughout every stage of the Hajj journey, starting with pre-Hajj health requirements.
The guide provides comprehensive information on key preventive health measures during Hajj, including protection against heat stress and heatstroke, as well as detailed guidance on preventing respiratory infections to help safeguard health in crowded environments.
It also includes first aid guidance and outlines rapid response steps to help pilgrims manage emergencies before reaching medical care. Special attention is given to priority groups through tailored health advice and practical guidance to support the management of their health conditions during Hajj, reduce potential complications, and promote their well-being while performing the rituals. In addition, the guide provides food safety recommendations to help prevent foodborne illnesses.
MoH and
Weqaya stated that the guide is available in eight languages: Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Turkish, and Malay, ensuring that health messages reach pilgrims from diverse nationalities.
The two entities affirmed their continued efforts to enhance health awareness content, encourage preventive behaviors, improve pilgrims’ health preparedness, and support them in performing Hajj safely. Pilgrims are encouraged to access and benefit from the
