Saudi Red Crescent Responds to 2,042 Diabetes Cases Since Ramadan Began

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has responded to 2,042 diabetes-related emergency cases since the beginning of Ramadan, providing emergency care in line with the highest standards of pre-hospital response and healthcare quality.
In this context, the Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of consulting a healthcare professional to assess whether individuals with diabetes can fast safely. The Ministry also urged immediate action if symptoms of hypoglycemia occur or if blood glucose falls below 70 mg/dL to prevent serious health complications.
In collaboration with health sector entities, the Ministry continues to promote health awareness and encourage healthy lifestyles, reinforcing the principle of prevention before treatment while supporting its strategic objectives to improve health indicators and enhance quality of life.
