27 February 2026

The Ministry of Health has urged those planning to perform Hajj from within the Kingdom during the 1447H Hajj season to receive the required vaccinations to strengthen preventive health measures and help ensure pilgrims perform their rituals safely and in good health.

The Ministry stated that the meningococcal (Neisseria) vaccine is mandatory for all pilgrims and healthcare practitioners who have not received the vaccine within the past five years. Vaccination status can be verified through the Sehhaty app.
It also recommended receiving the seasonal influenza vaccine, provided it has not been taken before September 1, 2025, and the COVID-19 vaccine, provided it has not been taken before January 1, 2025.
The Ministry encouraged all pilgrims and healthcare practitioners to book vaccination appointments through the Sehhaty app via the Adult Vaccination Clinic, supporting preventive health objectives and helping protect the health and safety of pilgrims.
