The Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Health
Holding Company, H.E.Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, today launched the “Taakad” Ramadan campaign across all regions and cities of the Kingdom. The campaign, organized by Health Holding Company and its affiliated health clusters, aims to provide 10 essential preventive screenings that enable beneficiaries to detect, diagnose, and treat diseases proactively.
The launch took place during H.E.’s inspection visit to the “Taakad” Center in Riyadh, established by Health
Holding Company to provide periodic health screening services through an innovative drive-through model. During the visit, H.E. reviewed the preventive screening pathways and service delivery mechanisms designed to ensure speed, accuracy, and high-quality care, reinforcing the principle of prevention before treatment while improving access to healthcare services. The center provides services including blood pressure measurement, obesity screening, colorectal cancer screening, and breast cancer screening.
The “Taakad” Center reflects the maturity of the national health system and its ability to deliver advanced, integrated preventive care models under the Saudi Model of Care. The initiative supports the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the programs of
Saudi Vision 2030, by enhancing healthcare efficiency and improving access to services.
Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, the campaign encourages citizens and residents to visit primary healthcare centers and benefit from preventive screening services. It is based on the Saudi Model of Care, which begins with family physicians in primary healthcare centers, making it easier for beneficiaries to access high-quality healthcare services.
The campaign also comes as colorectal cancer screening rates have increased by 120% within one year, driven by preventive programs. This reflects the positive impact of health transformation initiatives and demonstrates that a culture of prevention has become an integral part of community health behavior.
Health Holding Company is a national organization responsible for delivering comprehensive and integrated healthcare services through 20 health clusters, serving communities across all regions of the Kingdom. It implements the Saudi Model of Care, placing people at the center of healthcare delivery by prioritizing prevention before treatment, enhancing the beneficiary experience, and improving access to healthcare services.
