Minister of Health Opens the 3rd Saudi Healthcare Model Forum 2026

​​The Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Health Holding Company​, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, inaugurated the 3rd Saudi Model of Care Forum in Riyadh yesterday. The forum, held on 10 and 11 February 2026 under the theme “Creating Impact,” aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services and improve access to care in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.

In his opening remarks, H.E. AlJalajel highlighted the achievements of the Saudi Model of Care, noting that it has contributed to a 40% reduction in deaths from chronic diseases, a 60% reduction in road traffic fatalities, a 50% reduction in deaths from infectious diseases, and a 30% reduction in deaths from other injuries. He also noted that life expectancy in the Kingdom has reached 79.7 years.
The Minister stated that all 20 health clusters are expected to complete their transition to Health Holding Company by 2027. He added that the transfer of three health clusters from the Ministry of Health represents 15% of the total clusters and involves more than 62,000 employees, contributing to improved service quality and higher beneficiary satisfaction.
The forum serves as a national platform to showcase the latest developments and innovations in the Saudi Model of Care, discuss the future of healthcare delivery, exchange expertise, and strengthen integration among healthcare providers, ultimately improving the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare system while reinforcing the Kingdom’s role in advancing healthcare systems globally.
