MoH Launches the Mawhiba Students Engagement and Support Program

The Ministry of Health has launched a program to engage and support talented students at the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), as part of the "Human Health" track under the Talented Students Support Initiative. The program provides a stimulating environment for research and innovation and prepares students to execute high-quality projects tied to national health priorities, supporting the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program derived from Saudi Vision 2030 to build a vibrant society.

The program consists of three stages: first, workshops with the participation of Innovation Center representatives across several regions to inspire gifted students and introduce them to opportunities in health innovation and scientific research; followed by the second stage, which is camps aimed at developing clear, actionable research and innovative ideas; and concluding with the third stage, which is development and integration with the healthcare ecosystem by turning ideas and projects into prototypes or practical applications.

This comes as part of the Ministry of Health's efforts to empower young national talents, enhance their participation in health research and innovation, and align their capabilities with available opportunities in the healthcare ecosystem, contributing to the development of a generation of innovators and researchers capable of creating quality solutions for health challenges and supporting the future of health innovation in the Kingdom.
