The Ministry of Health (MOH), in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization (NCP), has opened a call for expressions of interest (EOI) phase for the Extended Care Services Project, according to the public-private partnership (PPP); in terms of the implementation of the first pilot project of two specific clusters in the Central and Eastern Regions.
The Ministry aims through this project to select a local and international private developer to design, develop, finance, operate (medical and non-medical), and maintain several extended care facilities, including long-term care hospitals, nursing care centers, a medical rehabilitation hospital, in addition to home health care, which will be among two health clusters in Riyadh and Dammam. The project is divided into specific services, namely: long-terms care hospitals with a 400-bed capacity, nursing care centers with a 200-bed capacity, a medical rehabilitation hospital (for inpatients and outpatients) with a 300-bed capacity, in addition to home health care for 10,000 active patients, all in both two health clusters.
