World No Tobacco Day is observed annually on May 31 to raise awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote efforts to reduce tobacco consumption. Despite widespread awareness of its dangers, tobacco remains one of the leading preventable causes of disease and death. The campaign also highlights the risks of electronic cigarettes and other tobacco products while encouraging healthier, tobacco-free lifestyles.

- Advocate for stronger regulations, including banning attractive flavors, restricting advertising and promotion, and regulating product packaging that appeals to young people.
- Empower communities, especially young people, to recognize misleading marketing tactics, resist promotional influences, and access smoking cessation services.
