In furtherance of its ongoing regulatory oversight to protect public health and enforce healthcare standards, the Ministry of Health has cracked down on an unauthorized individual operating unlawfully within the healthcare sector. The offender was caught administering medical procedures and distributing unregulated, unverified medications to patients without a valid license, breaching the provisions of the Practice of Healthcare Professions Law.
The Ministry announced that all statutory legal measures have been finalized against the violator in Taif, and the stringent penalties mandated by the law have been enacted. These penalties entail up to six months of imprisonment and a financial fine of up to 100,000 Saudi Riyals.
Reiterating its commitment to maintaining strict compliance across the national healthcare landscape, the Ministry of Health urged the public to strictly adhere to approved regulations and report any medical infractions through the unified contact center (937). Such collaborative efforts are vital to safeguarding public safety and advancing the quality and security of healthcare services nationwide.
