The National Center for Mental Health Promotion (NCMH) is leading the national campaign for World Mental Health Day 2026, observed annually on October 10. Held under the theme "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change," the campaign features participation from various sectors and relevant entities, aligned with national efforts to enhance mental health, well-being, and quality of life.
The campaign focuses on establishing mental health as an essential part of human health and well-being, promoting awareness regarding prevention and the early identification of psychological and behavioral changes, and encouraging individuals to seek specialized help in a timely manner. It also aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health while fostering a supportive community culture that encourages seeking support.
Furthermore, the campaign highlights the importance of lived experiences—listening to those who have gone through them and leveraging their insights and needs to refine services and practices. This contributes to improving the beneficiary experience and supporting a comprehensive mental healthcare journey, spanning awareness, prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, follow-up, and continuity of care.
The campaign also underlines efforts to make mental health services more accessible to beneficiaries by integrating them across various healthcare levels and offering service delivery through multiple in-person and digital channels, thereby enhancing accessibility, service quality, and continuity.
Through its leadership of the campaign, NCMH strives to unify and empower national efforts in activating this occasion. It encourages government, private, non-profit, health, educational, and social sectors to execute qualitative programs and initiatives, based on the belief that promoting mental health is a shared responsibility that requires integrated roles and supportive, aware environments.
This campaign serves as an extension of the Center's role in raising societal awareness, fostering inter-sectoral partnerships, and supporting national initiatives that contribute to mental well-being and overall quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
