Minister of Health Thanks Leadership for Approving Emergency Safety Policy

Minister of Health and Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA), H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the Council of Ministers' approval of the National Policy for Enhancing Emergency Medical Safety in Public Places and Workplaces, following the recommendation submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Health in All Policies.

His Excellency emphasized that the approval reflects the wise leadership's continued commitment to making people's health and safety a top priority. It also demonstrates its dedication to enhancing emergency medical preparedness to address health risks and improve quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030​ to build a “Vibrant Society" where people enjoy thriving health and an “Ambitious Nation" where government efforts are integrated to ensure sustainable policies and maximize their impact.

The Minister also explained that the National Policy for Enhancing Emergency Medical Safety in Public Places and Workplaces, led by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and developed in partnership with several relevant government entities, aims to enhance emergency medical preparedness in public places and workplaces, improve healthcare outcomes, and reduce complications resulting from emergency cases. It also seeks to raise community awareness and promote first-aid training, contributing to saving lives.

The health sector continues to work and collaborate with various government entities to develop integrated and sustainable national policies as part of the efforts of the Ministerial Committee for Health in All Policies. This reflects the “One Government" approach and supports integrated efforts to promote public health, strengthen prevention, and improve quality of life.
